In the heart of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, stands a majestic temple —

The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple.

Ancient, sacred, and deeply rooted in tradition, it is not just a place of worship but a living legacy of India’s spiritual and cultural richness.


But within its stone corridors lies a secret, untouched by time —

a door that no one dares to open.

A door known simply as Vault B.



In 2011, following a Supreme Court order, six underground vaults of the temple were opened to inventory and protect the vast temple treasures.

Five of these vaults revealed unimaginable riches —

gold ornaments, precious gems, antique idols, and royal heirlooms worth billions of dollars.


However, one vault remained untouched — Vault B.


Why?


Because Vault B is unlike any of the others.



It is sealed with a heavy iron door that has no locks or hinges,

only strange inscriptions and symbols carved into the surface.

Local tradition believes this door was locked with powerful mantras by ancient priests,

and can only be opened by a person of pure soul, deep spiritual knowledge,

and mastery over sacred chants —

specifically the rare “Garuda Mantra.”


Any attempt to forcefully open it, they say, would invite divine wrath.



During the inspection in 2011, there were discussions to open Vault B.

But soon after, reports began to circulate:

officials involved allegedly fell ill or resigned without explanation.

Though never officially confirmed, these rumors only deepened the fear and faith surrounding the vault.


Today, Vault B remains locked, guarded, and untouched.

Devotees offer prayers in front of it, believing that something far greater than gold lies inside.


Some say it could hold the final spiritual chamber,

others whisper about ancient texts, or even a hidden deity’s resting place.


Whatever lies beyond that sealed door,

it is more than treasure —

It is trust, fear, belief, and the unknown woven into one.
